Throw Back
Tom Jenz, a photographer constantly on the go, documents rural towns and abandoned places. Tom says, “my pictures are reminders of rural and small town culture and the simple self-sufficient life in America used -to-be.” Tom also meets all walks of life during his journey’s such as these two men saying, “I love these 2 old guys…still dressing up, though shabbily, despite today’s casual social norms. Throwbacks from the past.” I had to share this image with you. In a way, Tom’s style and imagery brings me back to one of my favorite writers, Jack Kerouac. What are your thoughts?

There’s something to be said for the simplicity and style of black and white photography. This print defines what we should strive for in fine arts photography. After viewing this, I want to know more about the artist. His vision tells a story.
Helena, thank you so much for your comments. I absolutely agree with you. His name is Tom Jenz, he has photographed many subjects, people and places for years. He has quite a nice writing style and you may find more of his work here: http://www.tomjenzamerica.com/writings.html
